User Guide & Support

No, OZONO devices have been designed to save electricty by switching off automatically after use. The OZONO will also run the internal dehumidifier automatically when needed, so it is recommended to keep OZONO plugged at all times.

Every washing machine comes equipped with a variety of functions, settings, and programs. To ensure you are utilizing the optimal settings for your OZONO device, we have compiled a list of tips and best practices:

  1. Cold Water Wash: Always opt for a cold water wash. This is crucial as hot water can cause ozone to break down, reducing the effectiveness of the OZONO device.
  2. Avoid ECO or Water-Saving Functions: When configuring your washing machine, refrain from using the ECO or water-saving function. For the OZONO device to work effectively, your laundry needs to be fully saturated with Aqueous Ozone (ozonated water).
  3. Select the Shortest Program or Single Cycle: Traditional washing machine programs typically run three cycles - a wash cycle to incorporate detergent, a rinse cycle to eliminate the detergent, and a spin cycle to remove excess water. However, with the OZONO device, there is no need to rinse out detergents. Therefore, a short program or single cycle will be sufficient.
  4. Pre-soak Heavily Soiled Laundry: For laundry that is particularly dirty, we recommend pre-soaking in Aqueous Ozone. This will ensure the laundry is thoroughly saturated with Aqueous Ozone before the washing process begins.

By following these guidelines, you can maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of your OZONO device.

If you find that your laundry is not coming out as clean as expected when using the OZONO device, there are a few steps you can take to improve the results:

  1. Check the Water Temperature: OZONO works best with cold water as hot water can cause ozone to break down. Ensure your washing machine is set to use cold water for the wash cycle.
  2. Avoid ECO or Water-Saving Modes: These modes may not allow the laundry to be fully saturated with the Aqueous Ozone. Make sure these settings are turned off when using the OZONO device.
  3. Pre-soak Heavily Soiled Items: If your laundry is heavily soiled, pre-soaking the items in Aqueous Ozone before washing can help improve the cleaning results.
  4. Ensure Correct Loading: Overloading the washing machine can prevent the Aqueous Ozone from effectively reaching and cleaning all items. Make sure you are not exceeding the recommended load size for your washing machine.
  5. Maintenance of OZONO Device: Regularly check your OZONO device to ensure it's working properly. If you notice any issues with the device, please refer to the troubleshooting section in the user manual or contact our customer support team for assistance.

If you find your laundry unclean due to stains
please note that certain stains (e.g. red wine, ink, berry juices) cannot be treated with aqueous ozone, much like how these types of stains cannot be treated with just detergent. You may need additional stain treatments to remove such stains.

If you find your laundry unclean due to the lack of fragrance
OZONO is completely fragrance free because aqueous ozone is a powerful deodorizer. Fragrances tend to be laden with chemicals that are detrimental to health. However if you prefer fragrance for your laundry, you could add fabric freshener or laundry fragrance boosters.

Yes, while its not recommended, you can use detergent in conjunction with Aqueous Ozone for your laundry. However, one of the main benefits of using an OZONO device is that it often reduces or even eliminates the need for traditional laundry detergents. Aqueous Ozone is a powerful cleaning agent on its own and can effectively remove dirt and kill bacteria.

If you choose to use detergent with Aqueous Ozone, ensure you use a smaller amount than you typically would and that the wash cycle is utilizes cold water. This is because the Aqueous Ozone enhances the cleaning power of the detergent, meaning less is required to achieve the same results.

Remember, one of the advantages of using Aqueous Ozone is that it leaves no chemical residue on your clothes, unlike traditional detergents. If you're using detergent, choose a mild, eco-friendly option to maintain the benefits of a chemical-free wash.

Yes, you can use fabric softener in conjunction with Aqueous Ozone. However, it's important to note that one of the benefits of using Aqueous Ozone is that it naturally softens fabrics without the need for additional softeners.

Aqueous Ozone works by breaking down the bonds in dirt and bacteria, which also helps to relax the fibers in your clothing, making them feel softer.

If you still prefer to use a fabric softener for its added fragrance or other properties, you can certainly do so. Just like with detergent, you may find that you need less softener than usual when using Aqueous Ozone.

The goal of using Aqueous Ozone is to reduce the amount of chemicals we expose ourselves to and release into the environment. If you choose to use a fabric softener, consider selecting a product that is eco-friendly and free from harsh chemicals.

While OZONO effectively cleans and sanitizes your laundry, it doesn't add any fragrance. If you prefer a scent to your clean laundry, consider using a fabric softener or laundry scent booster that is eco-friendly. Alternatively, you can use dryer sheets or wool dryer balls with a few drops of your favorite essential oil during the drying cycle.
